Kirsty & Martin would like to welcome you to our home based in the heart of the Scottish Highlands

The pods are in the grounds of the old gardeners cottage, built in 1857 and  that once was home to the gardener for the Balmacaan Estate.

Surrounded by ancient woodlands and with regular visits by red squirrels, badgers and Pine Martens, with buzzards & red kites overhead you will soon feel part of the nature of this wonderful area. 

We want you to be able to get away from the stresses of daily life and make this your home while staying with us.

OUR JOURNEY

We made the decision to put a couple of glamping pods in our grounds in Autumn 2021 and started the journey in October that year. Once planning had been approved we had the task of clearing the land which was overgrown with rhododendrons and scrub land and then removing around 70 tonnes of soil and rocks to level the slopped area. A retaining wall was built and 30 tonnes of  infill was put in along with the water and electricity supplies and  compacted ready for the first pod to be built. 

Work on the build started in early June 2022 and we have now welcomed our first guests in September 2022.
